Better late than never, the Australian premiere of Justice Squad has just been announced as a last minute inclusion in the schedule for Melbourne’s Oz Comic-Con…

A recent addition to the geek convention landscape, the mighty Oz Comic-Con also features artists and writers such as Nichola Scott, Chewie Chan, Christian Read, Tom Taylor and a host of others, as well as hipsters Paul Mason and Doug Holgate that I met in Sydney last year… Oh, and apparently some guy called Stan Lee will be there as well, the guitarist of 70s punk band The Dickies, I believe…

Once again, it’ll feel a little surreal to see a film I co-wrote six years ago screen for strangers on such a big stage. It will be an honour, however, to receive the apportioned measure of rotten fruit. At the end of the day, there simply is no better platform to debut our cheap and cheesy Australian superhero film.
