Chadwick and I were interviewed by Geek Society recently, talking about storytelling, comics publishing, and pizza.
Chadwick and I exhibited at Supanova Melbourne. We presented on a self-publishing panel at the Supanova Seminars stage, but had to end our panel early so Doctor Who could have the room. We didn’t mind, however, it’s the least we could do given how many times he (she) saved our behinds.
I wrote a feature article on adolescent isolation and the loneliness of growing up.
In other news, I went to Japan for work purposes. I spent quite a few hours hunting the Tokyo book district for graphic novels and Japanese movie magazines.
I finally read The Slap by Christos Tsiolkas, then Insomnia by Stephen King (all 700 pages of it), followed by A View from the Cheap Seats, which is Neil Gaiman’s collection of non-fiction, and the latest edition of The Lifted Brow.
Also, I’ll be in Perth this month for a comics symposium, but I’ll get to that later.
