DEAD ENDS, the launch, the response…

Our graphic novel anthology DEAD ENDS launched earlier this year with some nice mentions here and there, so I thought it was worth taking a look back at the event, as well as some of the good press we’ve since been blessed to receive…

First, Big Arse Comics Launch 4 was a fun event with a good crowd. There is a write up of the event at Melbourne Comics and some photos at Bobby N’s blog. We were actually interviewed at the book launch by the 42 Geek St TV program and we spoke about the event earlier at the Big Arse 4 Tumblr. Overall, DEAD ENDS was received well at the launch and sold strongly.

Our book is now in the Eisner winning All Star Comics in Melbourne and Pulp Fiction Comics in Adelaide, with more book stores soon to come. The book is hitting the cons next year and has even popped up in some libraries. DEAD ENDS has gotten some positive reviews online from Action Points Podcast and Watcha Podcast.

A special thanks goes to Brendan Halyday, who not only helped guide us through the book’s print stage but also managed the launch, as well as to Julie Ditrich who offered some sage last minute advice on the tome’s moniker. Cheers.
